MONDELLO

This double room is dedicated to the gulf of Mondello, Palermo's best known beach which, with its crystal clear waters and pinkish sand, welcomes anyone who wants to relax while remaining just a short walk from the city.

The seaside village has a very special charm because it manages to show the splendour of the twentieth-century elite, the carefree attitude of the young and the tradition of the fishing village. You can admire wonderful Art Nouveau villas, a beach full of young people and families and even a small harbour where fishermen repair nets and restore wooden boats.

A small curiosity concerns the tower located in the central square of Mondello, this was part of a coastal defence system of the village and of the ancient tonnara, no longer present. It’s called Prickly Pear’s watchtower.
